My selected learning experience is called She loves Crypto! - an onboarding training experience for women joining for the first time a Crypto investment community.

Audience
From Feb 2021-May 2022, I led the creation of a global Crypto/Blockchain investment community, with over 900 members on my team within a space of a year. This community was called Flourishinglegacy.
Flourishinglegacy was made up of career professionals from around the world who were new to the Crypto-Blockchain space and to the world of investing.
There were no previously created systems in place to help new members systematically understand this new landscape, I decided to create an Onboarding training program.
My onboarding program was for all my new team members but I also extended this program to members of other teams in the wider community.

The Crash
The world of investments comes with its own risks. Successful investors know you win some and lose some, but hedging against risk is paramount. The biggest risk management tool is education. Education not only about the project you are invested in but understanding the DNA of the industry.
My team members along with myself, learnt this lesson the hard way. The bull run of Crypto came to a disappointing halt to usher in losses of over 90% of one’s original investment.
The Problem
Those most affected by this loss were my female team members who did not learn about the industry.
In addition, our onboarding training program focused more on the technical knowledge necessary to participate in our investment projects.
Our program did not adequately prepare our team members to develop the right mindset to maneuver through investment losses and to hedge against risks.
The Big Question: How can we create a better onboarding training for our new members, so that they can invest in the Crypto space, with success, even during shifting market conditions?

Problem
How can we create a better onboarding training for new members in the Crypto investment community. So that they can invest within the Crypto space, with success, even during shifting market conditions?
Solution
New Onboarding Training: She loves Crypto! A step-by-step guide to confident Crypto investing for women.
Tech Used: Canva, Adobe inDesign, Camtasia
After need analysis, I along with my business partner, created an eBook step-by-step guide, called She Loves Crypto! We believed it could solve this problem.
The eBook training included feedback from our focus group and our personal experience. It included a new brand image and renewed focus in these areas
Results
She Loves Crypto! has a Launch date for April 2023, but pieces of the training have already been tested and we have received great social proof that our new approach works and will help lots of women.
We have a waiting list of close to 100 current members. including 4 Crypto Enthusiast influencers who have endorsed this training and would use it to strengthen and grow their current teams. Lastly, I have an Onboarding community following of a little over 1000 members from our previous onboarding training program. So, I expect great impact to this group as well.
My Work Process
I seek to create an engaging learning experience that will build skill, confidence and influence in my learners.
For long training programs I usually use the ADDIE module for Instructional design, which is what I used to develop She Loves Crypto!
My Work Process
Need Analysis
Involved: Learner analysis
I conducted a learner analysis, which involved asking a 9-person focus group made up of top women team leaders who represented majority of my team. These leaders were asked two question - “What are some things you wish you would have learned to help you?", "What things do you struggle learning?"
Responses could mostly be categorized within these two areas
• Reduce the learning curve of understanding the Crypto Blockchain space
• Better prepare for shifting market conditions like we are experiencing now
The responses from these leaders help me design a new onboarding and professional development training program and introduce a new core focus clientele.

My Development Process
Development
I collaborated with a friend and successful leader Charles P. He brought to the work his expertise in digital marketing and training video creation.
Authoring Tool: eBook
Settled on an interactive, self-paced, step-by-step eLearning guide in the form of an eBook.
We plan on publishing the book format for She Loves Crypto! for learners who would prefer a printed version.
Rational: Because our women will be located everywhere in the world, we needed to use authoring tools that will give easy access even with poor internet access.
Manuscript:
Phase 1: I wrote the entire manuscript for the eBook and included mock designs I created using Canva to help the Typesetter and my partner to re-create the designs to be more polished.
Phase 2: Sent the manuscript to the Typesetter with a storyboard word document so that he could create a prototype of the eBook.
Phase 3: Charles my partner, edited the original manuscript and designs. I had the Typesetter apply our prototype to our edited manuscript.
Phase 4: Several edits later the final eBook training was ready to be experienced by our learners

About
Learning experience designer and Facilitator.
If you could do anything you want to do, and money was not an issue, what will it be?
For me, my answer has always been in the area of training and development - creating and facilitating learning experiences for adults to build their confidence, their skill and inspire them to make a difference.
I have done just that, for the last 10 years.
Training Philosophy: I develop thoughtful, people-centered and creative solutions that learners can effectively apply to real-life.
I create and facilitate blended learning solutions as needed. In my live facilitations I use engaging tools like simulations, drama, games, videos, small-group and Life-application exercises.
How I work with people. My organizational leadership experience allows me to effectively communicate and lead my instructional design projects by building authentic relationships with my peers, SMEs and stakeholders to ensure our training solutions serve the needs of the business and that we have fun working together.
Fun. I love to learn and try new experiences. I enjoy serving underprivileged communities, experiencing diverse cultures when I travel. My nerdy side... loves the world of cryptocurrency and is a Biopic junkie.
